I heard someone on yesterday weekend file, boldly telling Nigerians that
the minister of agriculture have directed the ministry officials to
sell the available anti army womb chemicals to the farmers at subsidize
rate. Please, somebody should help me tell the minister of agriculture
that serious government don't sell or subsidize chemicals or drugs with
the aim of confronting or managing a plague, you do it for free and even
compensate those affected, as in the case of bird flu.
It really
doesn't make any sense, for government to think of asking farmers to pay
for chemicals they would use in prevention and management of a plague
like army womb that is damaging maize and tomatoes. the government
should not just provide the chemicals, but spray the chemicals
themselves.
